The cocoa processing line is a complete set of equipment designed to continuously process raw cocoa beans into cocoa powder, cocoa butter, and cocoa liquor. For manufacturers producing chocolate or cocoa beverages, this line transforms manual processes such as cleaning, roasting, grinding, and pressing into an automated production flow.
Cocoa Bean Processing Workflow
Cleaning: Removes stones, metal debris, and dust from the cocoa beans;
Roasting: Uses hot air to roast beans to the optimal temperature (typically 120–140°C); this step determines the aroma and color;
Cracking and Winnowing: Separates the bean kernels from the shells to obtain cocoa nibs;
Grinding: Grinds the nibs into cocoa liquor (also known as cocoa mass); cocoa butter is naturally released during this process;
Pressing: Uses a hydraulic press to extract cocoa butter (processing 2–8 kg per batch over 8–12 minutes), leaving behind cocoa cake;
Pulverizing: The cocoa cake is first coarsely crushed, then finely ground into powder, sifted, and automatically packaged.
Cocoa Production Line Features

Flexible production capacity; standard specifications include 100, 300, and 500 kg/h, with customization available up to 1 ton/hour;
Standard power supply is 380V/50Hz (three-phase); equipment is CE certified and comes with a 12-month warranty.
Production Line Applications
The resulting cocoa powder and cocoa butter have a wide range of uses, including high-end chocolate, ice cream, confectionery, cakes, cookies, and cocoa beverages. Alkalized cocoa powder allows for adjustments to color and acidity to suit different market preferences. For clients new to the cocoa industry, starting with cocoa powder involves lower risk and benefits from stable market demand.
